Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters is a series that has started in Ireland on a programming station called The Den. It is a 12
episode mini-series created by 4kids. Not yet released in the United States or in Japan, the series is set now for release
on DVD in the spring and release on TV in the fall.
There is no knowing where this story takes place but it seems like it takes place between the Doom Saga (Waking the Dragons)
and the Memory Arc (Dawn of the Duel).
It was originally thought to be based around the Capsule Monsters Chess game that appearred in the original Yu-Gi-Oh!
manga and in the video game Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters Colliseum. Now, it is proved that it doesn't seem to be based around
it at all.
In Capsule Monsters, the characters bring Duel Monsters to life through Capsule Launchers and Monster Capsules. After
used, the Duel monsters must recover from the fight. Higher level monsters take longer to recover. When recovering the capsule
of the monsters is silver while when the can be used they are gold. The characters are trapped inside the Capsule Monsters
board game and need to find a way back home.
